Advanced Crisis Planning

The Advanced Crisis Planning program from The Arc of Mississippi is designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families prepare for and navigate behavioral or medical crises before they happen.

Here’s what it focuses on:

Program Highlights

  • Proactive planning for individuals who may experience behavioral or emotional crises

  • Helps families and support teams develop personalized crisis plans

  • Encourages collaboration with medical professionals, caregivers, and community supports

  • Aims to reduce emergency interventions and promote stability and safety

  • Often used alongside other programs like CTS (Community Transition Services) for those moving out of congregate settings

  •

This program is part of The Arc’s broader mission to ensure people with IDD can live safely and independently in their communities with the right supports in place.
